I’m based in North West Leicestershire and I’m a retired BT manager and road safety presenter. You might know the sort of courses I mean, although I’ll stick to choosing records here.

My interest in radio began with the pirate stations broadcasting from ships and old wartime forts. In 2007, I joined Carillon Radio as a volunteer presenter, engineer and fundraiser.

At first, I travelled to the Loughborough studios to record each week, fitting those visits around being self employed. My engineering background helped me find a way to make programmes from home, and I’ve recorded that way ever since.

After several years with Carillon, I moved into internet radio and created Easy Sunday. It gave me a chance to put together the sort of easygoing programme I enjoy, with plenty of variety across the decades.

The show mixes music from the 50s to today with features to keep you entertained. Away from radio, my wife and I share our home with a rather opinionated black and white cat.
